The ICC dataset is collected via the web application I-See-Sea (go to: https://iliad.vtmis.bg/), developed within the EC H2020 ILIAD-project. The ICC dataset is particularly suitable for citizen science initiatives focused on environmental monitoring and harbour safety, while also offering opportunities for research on information extraction from text, image, and categorical data.

Observation reports include free-text descriptions, categorical data, images, and GPS coordinates, and are organized into five principal categories. Example data are available in CSV format: (i) pollution (plastics, oil spills, organic matter, etc.); (ii) meteorological conditions (wind, waves, UV radiation/luminance, visibility, etc.); (iii) weather phenomena (storms, atypical events, etc.); (iv) jellyfish congregations; and (v) other (floating objects, accidents with animals, humans, or marine vessels, risky behaviours, etc.);
